The Health Effects of Binge Drinking: Why You Need to Talk to Your Teen Now!

For parents with kids in college, winter break is a wonderful time to reconnect. It’s also a good time to talk to your young adult about making good choices. Binge drinking is a norm on many college campuses, but this extremely dangerous activity can be lethal or lead to long-term health issues. 

It’s obvious how it impairs neurological function, but it impacts bones, too. A study at Loyola has shown that binge drinking impairs the healing of broken bones on cellular and molecular levels. One more reason not to abuse alcohol – for teens or anyone!
